Frequently Asked Questions

Is whole bean coffee really better than ground?
Yes, if you have a grinder at home. Ground coffee oxidizes quickly and loses aromas within minutes. Whole bean coffee preserves its full sensory profile until the moment of grinding, giving you a fresher, more aromatic, more complex cup.
What type of grinder do I need?
We recommend a burr grinder (manual or electric). Blade grinders heat the bean and produce an irregular grind, affecting the cup's flavor. A manual ceramic-burr grinder is an excellent entry point.
What is a natural coffee?
It's a coffee processed by drying the whole cherry under the sun, without removing the skin or mucilage. This method enhances the sweetness, body, and fruity notes of the bean.
How long does whole bean coffee last once opened?
Up to 60 days in an opaque airtight container, away from light, heat, and humidity. Once ground, the time shrinks drastically: grind only what you're about to brew.
Do you ship throughout Colombia?
Yes. We ship from Antioquia to all of Colombia and roast to order to guarantee maximum freshness in every bag.
Where does this coffee come from?
All our beans come from Hacienda Las Mercedes in Ciudad Bolívar, Antioquia, grown at 1,800 m.a.s.l. We work directly with the farm, guaranteeing full traceability and fair prices for the producer.
